As a company, we have a responsibility towards our team members but also our society. To take on this Corporate Social Responsibility, we defined a common set of values that form the basis of our work.
At Avinton, we provide fair conditions and a healthy work-life balance, flat organizational structures, and follow strict labor standards regarding health and safety. We offer consulting services and system development to help make deeper sense of our surroundings and transform how we utilize technology. We not only want to develop excellent engineers but also people who care about others.
By donation initiatives or visiting welfare facilities that technicians don’t usually visit or interact with, we get an understanding that society is based on the cooperation and contributions of everyone.
It is our goal to reduce environmental impacts in our business activities. On our mission to become a “paperless office”, we aim to use a minimal amount of paper and encourage all of our employees, suppliers and customers to use electronic signatures and avoid sending paperwork back and forth. We use digital documents and online applications, and store soft copies to be able to share them with the team and check them remotely.
We regularly organize volunteering activities, encouraging our members to play an active role in restoring and protecting the environment.
A diverse team will create diverse solutions. At Avinton, we are proud of our highly skilled members. So far, they not only originate from more than 33 different countries (40% Japanese / 60% non-Japanese) but also have various educational backgrounds. We aim to provide a flat work environment that respects and values different perspectives, talents and experiences. We believe that being oneself cultivates trust – the foundation for an effective working relationship.
Our training and career development opportunities allow both newcomers and experienced professionals of different age groups to build or expand a successful career in IT. We also aim to increase the number of women in the industry. Our CEO Sachiko Nakase, as well as 90% of our back-office members, are women between 20 and 50 years old. In our regular “Women Meetup” we openly discuss the challenges of handling career and family life, as well as the great opportunities for women at Avinton.

By 2030, substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship.
It is an essential part of our business to actively recruit inexperienced engineers and expand their career opportunities. We offer a training program based on our original OKR method, technical training and skill improvement, purchasing of study literature, and a support system to acquire certain qualifications. We also offer free programming classes for children from single-parent families to help them acquire skills to quickly establish credibility and value in the job market. Furthermore, we visit people with disabilities at welfare facilities in order to raise awareness of their situation.

We are also hosting some of the university students involved in the project and providing them with training in data technology.

By 2030, reduce the adverse per capita environmental impact of cities, including by paying special attention to air quality and municipal and other waste management.
We are participating in a project to build an erosion control forest on the coast of the prefecture. It is our younger members who are actively supporting this project, as we know that the maintenance of erosion control forests (preventing sand splashes and salt damage) is physically demanding work. It is an important project protecting the lives of local communities.
We also regularly conduct environment protection activities, such as cleaning up around our office and Yokohama station, and beach clean-ups.

At the Shonan coast, a protective forest keeps the coastline and nearby dwellings safe. Organized by NPO Global Greening Center, Avinton members volunteered to plant trees and weed the forest.
Cleaning Japan’s Beaches
Our volunteers went to the popular Katase beach close to Enoshima to help clean the beach from litter. The volunteer work was followed by a communal lunch and sightseeing in the area.
Cleaning Our Neighborhood
In a monthly neighborhood clean-up as part of the “Welcome Yokohama Clean Supporter” program by Yokohama City, Avinton members collect litter during office hours. We are committed to creating a clean and comfortable space for both visitors and residents.
